*sometimes you just need to love.*

disrespect. its not nice kiddies.

i managed to get all my stuff done last nite except the bulletin board. but now thats done too. amazing. i have to go up to textiles lab in an hour to finish up our lab work. ugh. i hate lab. its so boring. i hate trying 42 different methods just to get out a tiny little stain. you know what my theory is? to get out a stain you either wash it in the washing machine with some Tide, take it to a dry cleaners, or throw it out and buy a new one. its that easy. there is no need for combinations of ammonia and vinegar and water and talcum powder and lots of hard scrubbing. this is the 21st century...we have innovations to get out stains instead of breaking our backs. poop on stains is what i say.

so before i wrote this i read catiecake's entry for today. and wow was it good. she knows the exact words to use to make her point. i love the things she writes. heres an excerpt that i really identify with:

"...we�re doing things that hurt our friends and our families and ourselves and we don�t want anyone to call us on it. We don�t want anyone to say, �What you�re doing is wrong.� Think about how defensive you would get if someone you respected called you on something you�re doing that you KNOW is wrong. Oh my. That person would be ripped up one side and down the other for their NERVE in holding you accountable. Once we�re willing to start holding people responsible for their actions we will begin to see changes in our society. As long as we�re willing to make excuses, look the other way and shun responsibility we will continue to see the horrifying events that pepper our times."

im beginning to really lose a lot of respect in the last few days for our society. everywhere i look i see people being disrespectful to others when they have no freakin reason to. those people you are being mean to have always been nice to you, and all youre doing is showing them what a huge bitch you can be. thats not nice at all.

but ive realized something...if i start losing respect for our society, am i just perpetuating the circle? i probably am. so im going to reserve my lack of respect for the people i know in my life that deserve it because they have been nothing but nasty towards myself and others as of late. so poop on those disrespectful people. cause i dont like disrespect. its not nice kiddies.
