*sometimes you just need to love.*

H2O in the middle of the nite

so last nite at 2:30 in the morning, i am sleeping peacefully next to my honey in his room when there is a very loud knock at the door. at first we ignore it. then the person knocks again, and this time they accompnay it with loud yelling about water in the hallway. so my honey gets out of bed and answers the door. big mistake.

one of the kids is like, "hey eric, there is a ton of water in the hallway. someone turned on all the water in the sinks and it ran over and now the bathroom has 3 inches of water in it. and its out inthe hallway about an inch deep and its going into peoples rooms. what should we do?" so my honey goes down and looks, sure enough water freakin everywhere. he comes back to the room. tries to call emergency maintenance. there is no answer at emergency maintenance. what good are they if they arent there?

so i get out of bed. i call. no answer. so i call OUPD. they dont really believe me about all the water in the bathroom and hallway, but say theyll send someone out. 15 minutes later the cop shows up. he stares in disbelief and says "they didnt tell me it was this bad." so he borrows our phone and calls back in and says that we need an emergency clean-up crew out here. then he comes back and says they should be here in 20 minutes. that would have been about 3:15. well they didnt get here till 4:00. i thought i was going to kill someone. i lost and hour and a half of sleep for a bunhc of idiots who thought it would be funny to let the water run all nite. assholes. i hope we catch 'em and make then clean all the bathrooms for a week or something.

the water was running into 3 of the guys rooms. i felt so bad for them. one room right across from the bathroom, was so wet. it was all under their carpet and running across their room. they were really not too mad about it though. as one guy sad, "what is it going to help if i get mad. i might as well laugh about it and just stay relaxed." what a smart kid.

my dorm sucks. were all upperclassmen, how come we cant freakin act like it???
