see the light? see it dammit !

i must comment on something my friend mindy just wrote in her diary.

now granted. i spend a lot of time with my boyfriend. but we live in the same dorm, and he just lives right down stairs. so its not like im going out of my way to see him or anything. and weve been going out for 2 1/2 months now.

now mindy and i have this mutual friend, erin. and she has this boyfriend named josh who shes been seeing for less than a month. and she spends way more time with him than she should be. i havent seen her in over 3 weeks. and mindy who has been at her house 3 nites out of the last 4, hasnt seen her once. even her roommates havet seen her!!!

now im sorry. but you do not blow off your friends for some stupid boy. even if you think hes the greatest thing since sliced bread and are more in love with him than is naturally possible (the way i feel about eric). if he loved you as much as you love him, then he should be thrilled to see you keeping your own life. cause im sure he wants to have one of his own too. must normal people would anyways.

she had the nerve to send mindy a very nasty message last nite. that bitch. i dont care how in love you are. it does not give you the right to treat your friends like crap and ignore them. the whole time i have been with eric i have tried to make sure i still spend time with my friends (without him) because i love them and couldnt stand to be without them. i make sure i eat lunch everyday with my friend carrie and try to see mindy as much as possible. erin has not done this. why? because her boyfriend is an ass and kinda controlling and she thinks shes in love so it must be okie that he wants her to spend all her time with him. ass.

this makes me so angry. you do not give up friends for boyfriends. and believe me. shes gonna her it from me. and i dont care what she says. someone needs to show her the light dammit.
